Meet Hulk, a 7-month-old French Bulldog with a spirit as mighty as his namesake. But unlike his superhero counterpart, Hulk’s attempt at flight resulted in a tragic accident, leaving him with a severely fractured left front leg.

After being surrendered, due to unforeseen circumstances, Hulk is now under the care of our Rescue and Rehome Project. He has just undergone a life-saving surgery to repair his leg. He’s also been desexed for his long-term health. This was a necessary step to ensure his quality of life. 

But this victory comes with a challenge – his care has left our rescue fund in a dire state.

Why this campaign matters:

Our Club has always been a haven for French Bulldogs, but we’re now facing a surge in rescues with complex medical needs. They are all coming from non-member breeders, lacking adherence to our science-based guidelines, leading to heartbreaking and costly care situations. The expenses for these special-needs Frenchies are quickly outstripping our funds.

Your support is crucial and it goes beyond donations—it’s about providing a chance for a better life to every Frenchie that comes to us, regardless of their background. Here is the reality:

• High Care Costs: This surgical care and additional medical procedures has cost over $6,500.
• The Rescue Fund: Our reserves stood at $4,000 prior to this rescue. While the Club is shouldering this overrun, our meagre budget is just not capable of continuing to meet the costs. These Frenchies didn’t ask to come into this world with all these problems. The Club is often their last option. Our commitment: while we have the support and funds to care for Frenchies in need, we will continue in our mission to repair their broken bodies and hearts, find them a loving home and provide a brighter future, regardless of their origins.Your contribution, big or small, has a profound impact and helps us give our beloved Frenchies a chance at a better life.

It is important to note that our Recognised Breeders stay committed to their progeny for their lives and normally rescue and rehome Frenchies they have bred. This means that our own members are at present taking responsibility for other breeders while not being a burden on our Rescue Project themselves.
