Anyone can call themselves a registered breeder online. Since our October issue, club breeders can prove it.
The new Recognised Breeder badge, announced in the October 2026 Le Bouledogue Français, is the club’s mark for breeders who are current financial members and listed in our Breeder Directory. Each breeder’s badge carries its own QR code. Scan it with your phone camera and it opens that breeder’s verification page, showing their name, their prefix and whether they’re a current Recognised Breeder.
Buying a puppy? Look for the badge, then check it yourself
A badge is just a picture, and pictures can be copied. A copied badge can carry a QR code that leads to a convincing fake page. Treat the badge as a reason to check, not as proof:
- If the QR code takes you anywhere but this website then it is even more important your breeder appears on this list. Don’t follow a link or code from the ad.
- Check the address bar shows frenchbulldogclubnsw.asn.au. The club verifies breeders only there.
- Find the breeder on the list and contact them using the club’s details, not the ad’s.
- Not listed? Walk away, and let us know at info@frenchbulldogclubnsw.asn.au.
You can also see every current Recognised Breeder, with contact details, in our Breeder Directory.
Club breeders: your badge is ready
Your personalised badge is waiting in the Breeder Profile tab of the Members’ Hub, ready to download for your website, socials, listings and puppy packs. It’s free while your membership is current.
Two requests. Please don’t alter it. And if your membership lapses, take it down: your verification page will show you’re no longer current, and a badge that says otherwise does you no favours.
