Hugh Gent OAM and the Election Information Group of Dogs NSW are working on a series of mailouts to provide voters in the upcoming NSW State Elections, with considered information, as to why they should look beyond the emotional propaganda of the Animal Justice Party (AJP) and recognise the real motives behind their campaign to maintain their representation in the Legislative Council of the NSW Parliament.
In the recent Victorian State Elections, voters punished the AJP for their duplicity over the last three years, the support for the party fell by nearly 32,000 votes from their 2018 result, going down from 2.47% of the vote to 1.51%.
In the next few weeks, the Group will highlight how the AJP inability to provide scientific support or rationale, for their draconian proposals in the Companion Animals Amendment (Puppy Farms) Bill, illustrates that they will go to any lengths to achieve their goals, which include, legislating pedigree dog breeding out of existence, by stealthily introducing, irrational punitive regulations, mirroring the agendas of PETA and Animal Liberation, both former employers of Emma Hurst MP.
Amongst things the Information Group will highlight are:
- How the Emma Hurst Puppy Farms Bill before NSW Parliament, is based on political motivations and Animal Activism, rather than facts, science, and compassion for animals.
- How the AJP are proposing legislation where breaches will be impossible to prove and where, the legal battles that would ensue from attempting to enforce the breaches, would place unnecessary stress on the court system, and create serious mental health issues for the humans who love their animals.
- How the AJP has an agenda that threatens to eliminate dog breeds whose ancestry goes back hundreds of years.
- How an AJP Policy is to remove the property status of animals, which means you will not be able to own an animal.
- How AJP proposed Legislation, will give Government Employees right of entry to your premises, to seize your dog/s if you have not complied with the proposed regulations.
